Disable Notification Sounds

In case you do want to receive notifications from Dropshare (e.g. when it completed uploading a file) but want to mute the default sounds, you can do so in the Mac OS X system preferences.

Open System Preferences, go to Notifications, and select Dropshare from the list. Then uncheck Play sound for notifications.
